Princess Astrid Music

Princess Astrid of Norway is the competition´s patron. 
The competition is arranged with support from The Norwegian Department of Culture
Trondheim Symphony Orchestra invites talented young violinists from all over the world to apply to enter the 18th Princess Astrid International Music Competition, November 27th – December 1st 2016. The candidates must be below the age of 30 at the time of the competition. The organizer (TSO) will not cover contestants travel expenses. TSO will cover the candidate´s accommodation as long as they are still in the competition.
The following prizes will be awarded:
1st prize: 160 000 NOK and a soloist engagement with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra
2nd prize: 50 000 NOK
3rd prize: 25 000 NOK
